Houthis Claim Missile Attacks on Riyadh Airport, Saudi Military Bases
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the first operation targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, claiming it "achieved its objective."
According to Saree, the second strike focused on aircraft parking areas, ammunition storage facilities, drone control centers and other installations at King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, in southern Saudi Arabia.
He also claimed that a third operation hit a Border Guard naval base in Jizan, in the kingdom's southwest, resulting in deaths and injuries. However, he did not disclose casualty figures or provide further information about the alleged attack.
Saree urged airlines, airport workers and travelers to avoid King Khalid International Airport, describing it as "unsafe." He also warned that the group intended to continue carrying out attacks against targets deep inside Saudi Arabia.
Saudi authorities had not immediately responded to the Houthi group's claims.
The announcement came as King Khalid International Airport resumed some flight operations on Sunday following an approximately two-week suspension triggered by an earlier Houthi attack.
