Gunmen Kill Syrian Defense Personnel in Idlib Shooting
The incident was reported without further information about the victims' identities, the circumstances surrounding the shooting or the individuals responsible for the attack.
The latest killings follow several similar incidents involving Syrian military personnel in the country's eastern regions earlier this month.
On October 19, a soldier was killed in a shooting in Al-Baghouz, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to reports citing a source within the Defense Ministry's Media and Communication Department.
In a separate incident, the ministry announced on October 10 that another soldier had died from injuries sustained when unidentified gunmen opened fire in Buqrus, in rural eastern Deir ez-Zor, on the evening of October 6.
The latest incidents add to a series of attacks targeting military personnel in different parts of Syria, with responsibility for the shootings remaining unconfirmed.
